Mower finder

Which robotic mower suits my lawn?

Five quick questions. We'll match your answers against each model's published specifications and show you up to three that fit — with the reasons.

1. How big is your lawn?

Mowable grass only, not the whole block. Unsure? Measure it free in Google Maps or call us.

2. How steep is the steepest part?

100% = 45°. A typical driveway is about 10–15%.

3. What's in the yard?
4. Boundary preference

Wire-free models use satellite (RTK), LiDAR or vision to map the lawn instead of a buried wire.

5. Budget

Answer as many questions as you can — results update as you go.

Recommendations are based on manufacturer-published ratings for lawn area and slope, which assume ideal conditions. Complex yards, narrow passages and heavy tree cover can reduce real-world performance — we're happy to assess your yard before you buy.

About the Mower Finder

How the Mower Finder works

The Mower Finder compares your answers with each mower's published specifications (rated lawn area, maximum slope, boundary type and navigation) together with current prices. A model is only recommended when the data needed for your answers is available; mowers missing a figure are listed separately as worth checking with us rather than guessed. It's a starting point, so always confirm the exact model and installation requirements for your property.

Measure the actual area of grass that needs mowing and compare it with the manufacturer's rated lawn area. Avoid using the total block size when large sections are taken up by buildings, paving or gardens.

Many can, but the maximum gradient depends on the machine. Ratings are given in percent (100% = 45°). Compare the manufacturer's slope rating with the steepest part of your lawn, including any limits near the boundary.

Performance depends on the navigation technology and layout. Properties with tall trees or an obstructed view of the sky need special consideration, especially for satellite (RTK) positioning systems. Vision and LiDAR navigation are designed to help in these areas.

How it works

How we pick your shortlist

Published specs only

We match against each manufacturer's rated lawn area, slope and boundary type — nothing is guessed.

Missing data is flagged

If a figure isn't published, the model is listed as 'worth checking' rather than recommended.
